Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience in IRF or SNF settings.

Details

  • Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting with 60 beds
  • Treats patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries
  • Geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients (no younger than 13)
  • Patient ratio of 7 to 1
  • Specialized equipment includes EKSO, InMotion UE Robotic, and body weight support systems
  • EHR systems used include UDS and Epic
  • Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Weekend hours on request from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • IRF or SNF experience required
  • License required if applicable
  • AHA certifications required
  • Experience with neuro, ortho, debility, and cardiac diagnoses preferred
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and work ethic required

  • Specialized units include brain-injury unit and dedicated stroke care unit

  • Apartment setting available for practicing daily living tasks
  • Pet therapy and recreational programs offered
  • Outdoor healing garden and walking trail available
  • Black scrubs required
  • Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify
  • Candidates cannot have worked as perm staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
