We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week travel assignment. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve functional independence, daily living skills, strength, coordination, mobility, and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals.
  • Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve strength, coordination, mobility, cognition, and functional abilities.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
  • Recommend and provide training in adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and compensatory techniques.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs, safety techniques, and strategies to promote independence.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Participate in care planning and discharge planning as appropriate.
  • Adapt effectively to new facilities, clinical teams, and patient populations throughout the assignment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Active Occupational Therapist license in the assignment state or ability to obtain one.
  • Previous Occupational Therapist experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification may be required depending on the facility.
  • Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a travel healthcare environment.
