Description

American Traveler is hiring an Inpatient Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a hospital rehabilitation unit serving a diverse adult patient population.

Details

  • Inpatient hospital setting within the Occupational Therapy department
  • 4x10 shift schedule starting between 5am and 8am, with an alternate proposed schedule of Mon–Thu 8a–5p and Fri 8a–1p
  • Weekend shifts required
  • Caseload of 6-8 patients per day
  • Uses ReDoc for outpatient and MedHost for inpatient documentation
  • 13-week contract length

Requirements

  • OT license required if applicable
  • BS in Occupational Therapy or higher required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the specialty, or ability to function well independently
  • Active driver's license and US SSN required for consideration
  • No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start
  • No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Facilitate development and rehabilitation of physically disabled patients to maximize functional status during hospitalization
  • Evaluate, plan, implement, and modify age-appropriate treatment programs
  • Participate in discharge planning, performance improvement initiatives, and administrative duties
  • Pursue ongoing professional growth
  • COVID vaccination not required
  • Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered
  • RTO requests must be less than 1 week
  • Previous perm staff at any CHS facility within the last 2 years will not be considered for this travel position
