Minneapolis, MN – Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) | Make an Impact While You Explore
Quick Glance:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (5 days/week) - Day Shift: 8am - 4:30pm
- Weekend Coverage: Possible (scheduled in advance)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (typical)
- Setting: LTC / SNF / TCU
- Patient Volume: 10–20 patients per day
- Floating: May be required to nearby facilities
Scope of Role:
- Help patients regain independence and improve daily living skills following injury, illness, or disability
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and create personalized occupational therapy plans
- Provide hands-on therapy to improve mobility, coordination, and daily function
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and adaptive techniques
- Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with facility standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapy teams
Must-Have Credentials:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state OT license (required prior to start)
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC, if required by facility)
- Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience
- Experience in LTC, SNF, or TCU settings
Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication and patient engagement skills
- Ability to manage a consistent patient caseload efficiently
- Adaptability to new environments and clinical settings
