Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) in a short-term acute care facility. Responsible for providing inpatient occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients, focusing on mobility, activity, and functional recovery. The role entails evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist, at least 2 years of experience, BLS certification, and State license. Experience with adult care, adaptive equipment, hip fracture, total hip replacement, knee injuries, and total knee replacement required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with electronic charting using EPIC, prior experience in inpatient settings, and trauma level experience.
  • Additional Information: The position requires float between facilities as needed. Weekend shifts occur every 6th full weekend; a day off is provided during the week prior to the Saturday shift and after the Sunday shift. The role involves lifting, transferring, patient and family education, and injury prevention.
  • Certifications: BLS certification required.
  • Compliance & License Requirements: MO: Submit without license; require MO or compact license. IL: License in hand required at the time of submittal. No local candidates accepted within 75 miles.
  • Travel & RTO Restrictions: Travel experience required; maximum of 7 days for requested time off; all RTO must be finalized at submission. No RTO allowed during the first week of assignment.
  • Other Details: Orientation hours are not specified; all documentation and modules must be completed according to outlined deadlines.
  • Additional Notes: float between specified facilities may be required; shift confirmed in submittal.
