Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) This position is based in the inpatient setting within the healthcare organization. The role involves evaluating, planning, and administering occupational therapy treatments in accordance with physician referrals, departmental policies, and regulatory standards. The occupational therapist demonstrates the clinical competence to provide age-appropriate treatment and collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position Description: Responsible for evaluating patients' functional abilities and limitations, developing and implementing treatment plans, and documenting patient progress. Initiates discharge planning and collaborates with the healthcare team to modify interventions as needed. Provides ongoing education to patients, families, and staff, ensuring care aligns with clinical standards and legal regulations.
- Required Qualifications: Successful completion of an approved educational program in occupational therapy, current occupational therapy license from the state of practice, and BLS certification. Additional requirements: 0 years of experience, location in the inpatient setting, scheduled for days shift with 10-hour shifts, and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Related education and/or experience are considered beneficial but are not mandatory.
- Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Employees may provide direction and delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel, participate in department improvements, and engage in continuous training and competency assessments. Compliance with all departmental and regulatory standards is required.
