Job Summary:
This inpatient Occupational Therapist (OT) position is located in Cumming, Georgia. The role involves providing therapy support to acute care patients across a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU, stroke/neurological, orthopedics, and general debility. The position requires the ability to work daytime shifts with a flexible schedule.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Varies, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 1 summer holiday
- Required Qualifications: Georgia licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the specialty, location requirements within 50 miles of the facility
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting acute care patients across medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU, stroke/neurological, orthopedics, and general debility
- Additional Information: The OT department utilizes Cerner Acute Care electronic charting system, supporting patients from physician orders throughout the hospital setting. The role entails working with a wide variety of medical cases, including ICU and neurological patients, to improve their functional outcomes. The assignment is for 13 weeks starting on 08/09/2026.
