Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ED Observation/Step-Down unit requiring CO or compact RN licensure and NIHSS certification.

Details

  • Step-down/PCU unit within an ED Observation setting
  • 3x 12-hour night shifts per week (1900-0730)
  • Rotating weekend schedule
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Floating required to other Tele units, Ortho surgical trauma, and acuity adaptable step-down units (e.g., insulin drip and sepsis patients)
  • May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Single State or CO/Compact) required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications must not expire prior to start)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in ED Observation or step-down specialty required
  • ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties per state Board of Nursing standards
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including health teaching and counseling
  • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, referring patients as needed
  • Step-down/PCU candidates only will be considered
  • Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment
