Job Details
Position: Sonographer – Perinatal / Maternal-Fetal Medicine (OB/GYN)
Facility: Aurora Sinai Medical Center
Department: AMG Maternal Fetal Medicine – OB/GYN
Location: 945 N 12th St, Milwaukee, WI
Shift: Days – Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Perform basic and advanced obstetric ultrasound examinations, including first-trimester scans, nuchal translucency, fetal anatomy, growth assessments, Doppler studies, and biophysical profiles.
Perform basic fetal echocardiography, transvaginal ultrasounds, and portable imaging as required.
Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures, including amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS).
Select appropriate transducers and imaging techniques to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
Review patient histories, laboratory results, and physician orders before examinations.
Communicate with patients to obtain relevant medical information and ensure their comfort and safety.
Recognize normal and abnormal fetal anatomy and communicate findings to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Calibrate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment and report equipment malfunctions.
Maintain accurate examination records, documentation, and billing information.
Participate in quality assurance activities and assist with clinical instruction for sonography students and medical trainees.
