Description:
Located in a beautiful area, this facility provides exceptional care in various medical and surgical services.
The OB Technician assists in providing patient care during labor, delivery, and recovery.
They perform surgical scrub duties, maintain acceptable levels of supplies, and provide turnover of patient areas.
The technician assists in the operating room with obstetrics-related surgery and helps with patient care before and after surgery.
Education and work experience includes a high school education or GED; an associate's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Licensure/certification in Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician is preferred.
Essential functions include preparing patient rooms and setting up sterile supplies with aseptic technique.
They assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring timely delivery of supplies and instruments.
Participation in the timeout before each case is required.
The technician assists nursing staff in deliveries as directed, including preparation, positioning, transport, transfer, and discharge of patients.
Collecting urinalysis specimens and recording maternal vital signs, weight, height, and intake & output measurements are also key responsibilities.
Personal care services and support with activities of daily living for patients are essential parts of this role.
The OB Technician performs other job-related duties as assigned.
