Description:
Located in a scenic area, the facility has been serving the community since 1977.
Comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility, the team provides exceptional care in various specialties.
The role involves assisting in providing patient care during labor, delivery, and recovery.
Responsibilities include performing surgical scrub duties, maintaining acceptable supply levels, and providing turnover of patient areas.
The technician also assists in the operating room during obstetrical surgeries.
Assisting with patient care before and after surgery is also required.
Education and work experience requirements include a high school education or GED; an associate or technical degree is preferred.
Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification is preferred.
Essential functions include preparing patient rooms, opening sterile supplies, and assisting the surgical team.
Participation in the timeout procedure is necessary for each case.
The technician assists nursing staff in deliveries, takes and records vital signs, and performs personal care services for patients.
Additional duties include preparing, positioning, transporting, transferring, and discharging patients.

This facility provides Labor, Postpartum, Newborn Care, Triage, Surgery and Recovery, and Lactation Services.
Scrubs are provided for the role.
It is noted that there is no floating to other units or weekend coverage required.
Special equipment used on this unit includes an Epidural Pump, and special procedures performed include C-Sections and Newborn Circumcision.
