Registered Nurse (RN) Antepartum

General Information

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Antepartum unit. This position involves caring for high-risk obstetrical patients, with a focus on providing exceptional nursing care and support.

Unit Highlights

Location: Dallas, TX
Unit: Antepartum (625)
Number of Beds: 19
Patient Ratios: 1:5
Documentation System: Meditech & CPIN (Primary)

Shift Details

Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

2+ years of high-risk labor and delivery or antepartum experience
Active Texas RN license (temporary license will not be accepted)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certification

Preferred Skills

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Registered Nurse Certification (RNC)
Experience with Meditech
Familiarity with magnesium sulfate and preterm labor management

Dress Code

All nursing staff are required to wear blue insignia scrubs, which must be ordered. Additional dress code requirements include:

Nail Policy: Clean and healthy nails; no artificial nails or gel.
Hair: Neat and clean; must be pulled back if longer than shoulder length.
Tattoos: Must be covered when possible.
Piercings: Only earrings are permitted; other visible piercings are prohibited.

Additional Information

This is an opportunity to work in a newly renovated Women’s Services Unit with experienced staff and the latest technology.

Floating and Attendance Policies

Staff may be required to float to other units as needed. Attendance policies of the organization will be strictly adhered to.
