# Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Registered Nurse – AlabamaStart Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Alabama

Schedule: Details provided upon interviewHighlights:- Comprehensive maternal and neonatal care including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Level 1 Nursery, and OB/GYN services- Circulate during cesarean sections and attend deliveries, assisting physicians as needed- Neonatal station attendance with complete post-delivery assessments- Collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment supporting patient transfer, discharge, and referral coordination- Ongoing professional development including fetal monitoring and neonatal stabilization certification- Coverage assignment with clearly defined start dateRequirements:- Current Alabama RN license or multi-state compact RN license- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and Labor & Delivery/LDRP- Experience must include post-operative hysterectomy care, antepartum care, triage, labor and delivery, and postpartum care- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications required (ACLS and BLS must be through American Heart Association)- Fetal monitoring certification (renewal every two years)- Strong assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills for patient careWhy It's a Great Opportunity:This role offers the chance to provide comprehensive maternal and neonatal care across the full spectrum of women's health services.
