Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Urgent Care setting in Big Sky, Montana. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals presenting with acute illnesses and injuries, ensuring timely assessment, intervention, and education within a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, focusing on comprehensive patient assessment, developing individualized plans of care, and implementing effective nursing strategies. This position is crucial for maintaining patient flow and delivering excellent care in a walk-in clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, collecting pertinent health data.
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or identify patient issues.
- Develop individualized plans of care with expected outcomes for each patient.
- Implement identified plans of care, employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
- Attain and maintain knowledge and competency reflecting current nursing practice standards.
- Evaluate personal nursing practice against professional standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Integrate ethical provisions into all areas of practice.
- Incorporate research findings into clinical practice.
- Provide leadership within the professional practice setting and the nursing profession.
Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a pre-hospital setting (e.g., Ski Patrol, Search & Rescue, EMS).
- Clinical experience in Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or other acute care environments.
- Experience in an outpatient or walk-in clinic setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) operating systems.

Shift Details
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Type: AM shifts
- Shift Duration: 8 hours per shift
- Days per Week: 5 days
- Weekend Rotation: May include weekends.
- Call Requirements: On-call work may be required.
- Overtime: Position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek.
Licensing Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Montana.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
