Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Surgical Trauma ICU – Western North Carolina**Start Date:** September 28, 2026**Location:** Western North Carolina**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** 12-hour shifts with 1:2 patient ratio; 6-week scheduling cycle with 6 weekend shifts required; modified self-scheduling availableHighlights:- 20-bed Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit at an ACS Verified Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated hospital- Comprehensive critical care equipment including EVDs, Camino bolts, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, GE ventilators, iCool machines, CRRT, and advanced monitoring systems- Diverse procedural experience including intubation, chest tube placement, central line insertion, bronchoscopy, proning, TPA administration, CRRT/HD, and trach placement- EMR: Cerner PowerChart- Strong unit support with dedicated supervisor, patient care technician, and unit coordinator on each shift- Modified self-scheduling with 6-week advance noticeRequirements:- Valid RN License- Active ACLS and BLS certifications- Minimum 2 years acute care ICU experience (LTAC experience not applicable)- Trauma ICU experience from Level I or Level II Trauma Center required- Surgical ICU background essential- Strong team collaboration skills and positive, flexible attitudeWhy It's a Great Opportunity:Join a highly skilled team at a premier trauma center where you'll care for complex surgical and trauma patients using advanced critical care technology.
