Job Opportunity – Surgical Trauma ICU Registered Nurse – North Carolina**Start Date:** September 21, 2026 **Location:** Western North Carolina **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 6-week rotating schedule with 6 required weekend shifts per rotation; 1:2 patient ratio**Highlights:** - 20-bed Surgical Trauma ICU in a Magnet-designated, ACS Verified Level I Trauma Center- Comprehensive critical care technology including EVDs, CRRT (Prisma Max), iCool machines, wound vacs, and advanced monitoring systems- Electronic documentation using Cerner PowerChart- Collaborative unit staffing with dedicated RNs, supervisors, PCTs, and unit secretaries on each shift- Involvement in high-acuity procedures including intubation/extubation, central line placement, chest tube placement, bronchoscopy, proning, and CRRT management- Modified self-scheduling with flexible shift options**Requirements:** - Valid RN license in North Carolina (or eligible for licensure)- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required- Acute care ICU experience from a Level I or Level II Trauma Center strongly preferred- Surgical ICU or Trauma ICU background required; LTAC experience does not qualify- Strong teamwork, positive attitude, flexibility, and compassionate patient care approach**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This is an excellent opportunity to practice at the highest level of trauma care in a Magnet-recognized facility that values clinical excellence and professional development.
