The unit serves complex transplant cases and care includes surgical drains and extensive wound management. Travelers may be required to float frequently to meet staffing needs. Patient ratios are typically 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, although night ratios can occasionally reach 1:7. Weekends require four shifts out of eight possible during a four-week period, with specific days allocated for weekend coverage. Candidates must not have recent hospital experience less than one year or less than two years of experience in a large, urban hospital. 100% nicotine-free facility. Additional skills include managing various drips, emergency protocols, and telemetry monitoring. This role also involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
