Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Transplant Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required (must have experience in a large, urban hospital) License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH, CPI preferred Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required - Drips management experience required - Recent Level 1 trauma work history Description: This position involves working in a 36-bed unit providing medical surgical/telemetry and progressive care to adult pre and post organ transplant patients. The unit serves complex transplant cases and care includes surgical drains and extensive wound management. Travelers may be required to float frequently to meet staffing needs. Patient ratios are typically 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, although night ratios can occasionally reach 1:7. Weekends require four shifts out of eight possible during a four-week period, with specific days allocated for weekend coverage. Candidates must not have recent hospital experience less than one year or less than two years of experience in a large, urban hospital. 100% nicotine-free facility. Additional skills include managing various drips, emergency protocols, and telemetry monitoring. This role also involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
