Start Date: December 14, 2026
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Self-scheduling with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; 48 hours per week guaranteed (preferred)

Highlights:

  • 18-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac and pulmonary patients
  • Patient ratio of 1:4-5 with support from 2 patient care technicians and 1 unit secretary
  • Case mix includes COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF, trach care, and hemodynamically stable patients requiring cardiac and respiratory monitoring every 2-4 hours
  • Comprehensive oxygen therapy protocols including nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP up to 80%, and low-flow AirVo
  • Documentation system: Meditech; Unit equipment includes Alaris pumps, Kangaroo pumps, and Pyxis
  • No on-call requirements; floating policy based on seniority and rotation

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required
  • Progressive care or telemetry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with cardiac monitoring, respiratory management, and moderate acuity patient populations
