Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document individualized nursing care in a PCU/Telemetry step-down environment
• Administer medications and perform patient tests within the registered nurse scope of practice, including management of cardiac drips
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures; maintain familiarity with TAVR and Watchman/Mitraclip procedures at a minimum
• Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills
• Float between multiple acute care facilities as assigned within the float pool program
• Document all care accurately using Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN License required
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Telemetry or step-down RN experience
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must be willing and able to float between multiple acute care facilities as part of a float pool assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience with cardiac drip management and familiarity with TAVR and Watchman/Mitraclip procedures
• Prior travel nursing experience in a step-down or PCU setting
