Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 33-bed Medical Oncology/Telemetry unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Perform remote telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in patient condition
- Conduct hourly rounds on day shift and 2-hour rounds after 9:00 PM in accordance with patient experience standards
- Collaborate with CNAs, unit secretaries, Charge RN, Clinical Manager, and Director to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Float to other units as needed per facility floating policy (travelers are first to float)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Florida
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with telemetry or medical-surgical background
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proficiency with remote telemetry monitoring and electronic documentation systems
- Strong patient-first attitude and commitment to compassionate, high-quality care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Specialty certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Palliative Care, or ONS (Oncology Nursing Society)
- Experience with inpatient oncology or chemotherapy administration settings
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
- Experience using iMobile/iPhone-based clinical communication tools
