Travel RN – Neurology / Telemetry (Night Shift)

Contract | 13–26 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups across neurology, medical, and medical telemetry populations
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary and interdisciplinary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Maintain professional accountability for provision of care and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct care givers
- Perform and demonstrate competence in drug titration and operation of telemetry, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, and lift equipment
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable nursing practice standards
- Float on a rotational basis as required; night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires availability for the full orientation week
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or hold an active Missouri RN license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- NIHSS certification — may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to assignment start
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
- Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
- Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient neurology experience
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR
- Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced neurology/telemetry environment
