    Travel RN – Neurology / Telemetry (Nights)

    Springfield, Missouri

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups on a Neurology/Telemetry unit
    • Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
    • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
    • Perform drug titration and manage telemetry monitoring equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, and lift equipment
    • Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
    • Float on a rotational basis as required by unit needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start date
    • Minimum 1 year of inpatient Telemetry experience
    • Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
    • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for assignments running November 1 through April 1
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Minimum 1 year of inpatient Neurology experience
    • Experience with EPIC EMR
    • Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced neurology/telemetry environment
