Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care for post cardiac cath, post-surgical, and high-risk medication patients including those on cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine drips. Preferred Experience / Skills Prior telemetry experience including management of patients on high-risk cardiac and vasoactive drip medications.
Provide nursing care for post cardiac cath, post-surgical, and high-risk medication patients including those on cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine drips
Care for respiratory patients on NIPPV modalities including BiPAP and AirVo
Obtain and document initial and ongoing patient assessments, identifying trends and priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care in accordance with nursing standards
Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of clinical findings and modify the plan of care accordingly
Participate in patient and family health education, discharge planning, and perform Point of Care testing procedures
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state RN license
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior telemetry experience including management of patients on high-risk cardiac and vasoactive drip medications
Experience with NIPPV respiratory support modalities such as BiPAP and high-flow therapy
National professional nursing certification or advanced nursing education (BSN or MSN)
