Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry in Santa Fe, NM

Key Responsibilities Provide care for post cardiac cath, post-surgical, and respiratory patients, including those on high-risk medication drips such as Cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine. Obtain and document initial patient assessments and establish care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs; reassess systematically to identify trends requiring intervention.

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for post cardiac cath, post-surgical, and respiratory patients, including those on high-risk medication drips such as Cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine
• Manage respiratory patients on NIPPV modalities including BiPAP and AirVo
• Obtain and document initial patient assessments and establish care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs; reassess systematically to identify trends requiring intervention
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of clinical findings and patient outcomes, modifying the plan of care as needed
• Participate in patient and family health education, discharge planning, and perform Point of Care testing procedures as required

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for telemetry patients, including post cardiac cath and post-surgical populations
• Familiarity with high-risk medication drip management in an acute care setting
• Experience with NIPPV respiratory support modalities (BiPAP, AirVo)
