Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Cardiovascular Unit

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Rotating Weekends | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a cardiovascular telemetry unit with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for telemetry patients and 3:1 for PCU patients
- Perform and assist with procedures including angiograms, post-operative cardiac care, PCIs, stroke care, and various post-operative surgeries
- Manage and monitor chest tubes, wound vacs, TR band maintenance, swallow/dysphagia assessments, and rhythm interpretation
- Operate unit equipment including Alaris pumps, telemetry boxes, PCS pumps, glucometers, and Hoya lifts
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Float to other cardiovascular or med-surgical units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
- Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced cardiovascular environment with rotating weekend shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in PCU, telemetry, or stroke care settings
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Compassionate, open-minded, and coachable personality with the ability to thrive in a high-acuity environment
