    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Float Pool)

    Location

    San Francisco, CA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days/Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Weekends as Needed

    Key Responsibilities
    • Serve as a float pool nurse, rotating across multiple units and facilities as needed based on staffing demands
    • Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry/TCU/Stepdown/PCU setting
    • Rotate between AM and PM shifts within a 4-week schedule cycle
    • May be assigned to care for boarded patients in the ED and/or assist with related tasks
    • May be assigned to the PACU to care for boarded patients
    • Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
    Required Qualifications
    • Active California RN License (in hand required at time of submittal)
    • BSN required
    • AHA BLS certification
    • ACLS certification
    • Minimum 2.5 years of recent TCU/Stepdown/PCU experience as a home unit (float experience alone does not qualify)
    • Teaching hospital experience required
    • No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required
    • Any prior employment with a University of California medical facility or affiliated facility must be disclosed with dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
    • 2 professional references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
    • Locals are accepted and are eligible for the same rates as travel nurses
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NIHSS certification
    • Experience caring for acute care patients recovering from procedures such as biopsies
