Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a telemetry/cardiac monitoring unit within a large academic medical center setting
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data, responding appropriately to rhythm changes and clinical deterioration
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Float to other units or facilities within the health system as operationally needed, provided requisite qualifications are met
- Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required
Required Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, or Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- First-time travelers considered with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
- Prior travel nursing experience within the last 12 months required
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster required — proof must be provided at time of submission; no exceptions
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an Emergency Room holding or observation capacity
- Previous experience in a teaching hospital environment
