Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed Orthopedic Telemetry unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
- Deliver post-operative care for patients following total joint replacement, general surgery, plastics, and gynecological procedures
- Monitor patients using telemetry equipment, bedside pulse-oximetry, cryotherapy devices, SCDs, and lift equipment
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNCs, PCTs, and unit staff across day and night shifts
- Float to Surgical Telemetry as needed; available for on-call during low census periods
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in med-surg telemetry
- Demonstrated telemetry competency
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with post-operative care in a telemetry setting
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
- Team-oriented, communicative, and positive demeanor
