Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Travel Contract)

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 27-bed Telemetry unit operating under an RN/LVN team model with 9–10 patients per team
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data using bedside cardiac monitors and related equipment
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy using IV pumps
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with charge nurses, LVNs, and PCTs across night shift to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Float to other med/surg units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (or compact license) valid in the state of Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Availability to work at minimum every other weekend; scheduling based on greatest unit need
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Prior travel or contract nursing experience
- Positive, flexible, and adaptable personality with strong team-player mindset
