Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Oncology unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data for assigned patients throughout the shift
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of RNs and patient care technicians on a 15-bed unit
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Meditech EMR
- Adhere to unit guidelines, dress code (navy scrubs), and facility policies throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Texas
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Telemetry experience is required; candidates without this skill will not be considered
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Meditech EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with stroke patient care
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong adaptability in a travel assignment setting
