Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float Pool

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 36 hours per week | Days/Evenings/Nights Rotating, Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float between up to 8 different Medical/Surgical Telemetry units throughout the facility as assigned
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours
• Administer and manage cardiac drips in accordance with unit protocols
• Provide care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC EMR
• Utilize TR Band experience as applicable within assigned units

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a travel nurse
• Demonstrated ability to perform cardiac drip management and read telemetry strips
• Willingness and ability to float to 8 different units, including rotating day, evening, and night shifts with 1–3 night rotations per contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of telemetry-specific nursing experience
• Prior experience with TR Band procedures
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
