    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry, Nights

    Location

    Reno, Nevada

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week guaranteed

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients on a 38-bed telemetry unit, utilizing the full nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
    • Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses including CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, COVID, and post-procedure care (pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and post-ICU step-down)
    • Administer and manage non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitroglycerin
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including CNAs, Critical Care Techs, Advanced Care Techs, Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, and Respiratory Therapists
    • Coordinate individualized patient care and outcomes across the full episode of care, incorporating family and caregiver involvement as appropriate
    • Float as needed to intensive care units, medical-surgical units, or other campus locations based on organizational need and competency level
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start
    • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
    • ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
    • NIHSS certification (APEX)
    • Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
    • Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identification and measurement of rhythm strips
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care environment
    • Familiarity with post-ICU step-down patient populations and cardiac monitoring protocols
    • Comfort with floating across multiple unit types including ICU and medical-surgical settings
