Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry Float Pool

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a telemetry float pool setting, floating to med/surg and telemetry units as needed
- Manage a patient assignment of 4:1–5:1 across a 38-bed unit, caring for patients with diagnoses including ETOH, DKA, heart failure, sepsis, stroke, and GI/GU surgical and joint replacement cases
- Titrate drips including insulin, heparin, amiodarone, and cardizem per protocol
- Read and interpret telemetry strips independently using GE monitoring equipment, in collaboration with monitor technicians
- Operate and monitor respiratory support equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
- Adhere to navy scrub dress code; complete unit-specific orientation (1 day per unit)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in California
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in telemetry or step-down nursing
- Demonstrated ability to titrate drips and read telemetry strips independently
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating across multiple units in a hospital setting
- Familiarity with GE telemetry monitoring systems
- Experience managing complex cardiac and medical-surgical patient populations
