Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Trauma, Orthopedic, and Surgical unit with a 1:4–5 patient ratio
• Care for a high volume of complex patients including post-op transplants, Whipple procedures, spine, orthopedic joints, and trauma cases
• Monitor and interpret telemetry using Phillips monitoring systems; manage patients on BiPAP and CPAP
• Perform sterile procedures including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes; must demonstrate competency in maintaining sterile field
• Document patient care using Cerner EMR
• Float to Med/Surg or Telemetry units at alternate campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (two attempts allowed)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Familiarity with post-operative transplant and Whipple patient populations
• Experience with BiPAP and CPAP management
• Proficiency with Phillips telemetry monitoring systems
