Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | One winter holiday commitment required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Telemetry/Stroke unit with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Care for patients presenting with chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, post-cardiac catheterization needs, stroke, sepsis, and alcohol/substance withdrawal
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to assess patient status and respond to changes in condition
- Float to other units as needed
- Adhere to stroke protocols and unit-specific clinical standards; NIHSS certification required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania (or compact equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry RN experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Stroke care experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for post-cardiac catheterization patients
- Familiarity with sepsis protocols and substance withdrawal management
- Comfort floating to multiple units within an acute care environment
