    Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry / Med-Surg & Cardiac Observation

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 21-bed Med-Surg and Cardiac Observation unit serving a diverse patient population including pre/post cath, chest pain rule-outs on heparin drips, COPD, CHF, pacers, and arrhythmias
    • Read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips in real time using unit-based monitoring equipment, in coordination with telemetry monitor techs
    • Administer and manage set-rate drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Bumex, and Lasix
    • Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and respiratory therapy to deliver safe, high-quality patient care at average nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6
    • Manage a high-volume, fast-paced environment with the potential for up to 6 discharges and 6+ admissions per day
    • Float to other units within the facility as needed, receiving only patients within your demonstrated skillset
    Required Qualifications
    • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both required)
    • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
    • Experience administering set-rate Cardizem and Amiodarone drips
    • Ability to work every-other weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday for night shift)
    • All time-off requests must be disclosed upfront and included in the contract prior to assignment start
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with TR Bands (transradial hemostasis bands) is highly preferred
    • Prior experience in a high-acuity Med-Surg or Cardiac Observation setting
    • Familiarity with BiPAP and CPAP supportive therapy
