Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care on a 26-bed Cardiac Specialty Progressive Stepdown Unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Monitor and manage cardiac patients, including those post-procedure
- Perform titration of IV medications including cardiac drips, heparin, and insulin
- Operate and monitor pacemakers and related cardiac equipment
- Document patient care using the Meditech electronic health records system
- Float as needed to Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and OSS units per facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Kansas or compact licensure
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
- Ability to meet self-scheduling requirements, including weekend shifts (three weekend shifts per four-week period on day shift)
- Adherence to required dress code: royal blue scrub top and black pants
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience managing cardiac patients post-procedure
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
- Background in progressive care or cardiac stepdown settings
