Job Title

Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical (Telemetry)

Location

Milton, MA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days | 12-hour shifts, every other weekend | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit serving a wide variety of surgical patients with overflow medical patients
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips — this unit does not utilize telemetry technicians; all RNs are responsible for their own strip interpretation
• Administer and manage medications in accordance with unit protocols
• Float between Medical-Surgical Telemetry units as needed
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the Epic electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse licensure issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing — required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• CPR and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EHR experience required
• Candidates must pass a Dysrhythmia (20-question) and Medication (20-question) test prior to acceptance — administered via Zoom; 85% passing score required; one attempt only, no remediation or re-sit available
• Influenza vaccination required; only medical exemptions are accepted
• Must have been separated from BILH for 6 or more months and be in good standing to be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation skills
• Experience floating across multiple Medical-Surgical or Telemetry units
• Familiarity with a high-volume, mixed surgical and medical patient population
