    Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Telemetry)

    Milton, MA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit in an acute care setting
    • Independently read and interpret telemetry strips — this unit does not have telemetry technicians; all RNs are required to monitor their own patients
    • Administer and manage medications in accordance with unit protocols
    • Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the Epic electronic health records system
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient safety and positive outcomes
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Massachusetts
    • Minimum 2 years of recent acute Medical-Surgical with Telemetry nursing experience
    • Active CPR and ACLS certifications
    • Epic EMR experience required
    • Must pass a Dysrhythmia (20-question) and Medication (20-question) competency test prior to acceptance — administered via Zoom; passing score is 85%; one attempt only, no remediation or re-sit opportunity

    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience independently interpreting cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias without telemetry tech support
    • Strong medication administration knowledge and clinical decision-making skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
