Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a telemetry setting, continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established nursing protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
- Participate in rotating weekend shifts, expected every third weekend, and holiday coverage including Christmas
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or a compact state license
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience in telemetry or cardiac monitoring nursing
- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to arrhythmias
- Availability for day shift scheduling, including every third weekend and holiday rotation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Prior experience in an acute care or hospital-based telemetry unit
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
