Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage and care for ventilated patients and patients requiring tracheostomy management — experience in these areas is required
- Utilize Meditech for electronic charting and documentation
- Float to Med/Surg unit as needed based on staffing requirements
- Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted
- ACLS, BCLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry or relevant RN experience required
- Demonstrated experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy management is mandatory
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; post-submission RTO requests may not be granted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in an acute care hospital setting
- Familiarity with Meditech charting system
- Ability to adapt to floating between like units within a multi-facility health system
