Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness using the nursing process
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with applicable state practice standards and organizational policies
- Read and interpret telemetry rhythms every 4 hours utilizing an electronic health record system
- Manage patients with multi-system conditions including those requiring drips (Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin) and various oxygen modalities (Trach, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula)
- Serve as a point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and advocate for patient safety throughout the care continuum
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in state of practice or covered under a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
- Dysrhythmia Exam required prior to start (study guide available)
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation in an acute care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with CAPD (Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis)
- Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- CCRN or PCCN certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
