    Job Title

    Travel RN – Acute Care / Telemetry (Night Shift)

    Location

    Highlands, North Carolina

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Three 12-Hour Shifts per Week | Projected Start: June 15, 2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Acute Care / Telemetry unit serving a primarily geriatric and swing bed population
    • Deliver concierge-level patient experience consistent with the expectations of an affluent community setting
    • Perform wound care and other minor unit-based procedures as required
    • Manage patient assignments at ratios of up to 6–7:1, including periods without HUC or tech support
    • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using the Cerner electronic health record system
    • Adhere to unit dress code: all navy or navy top with white bottoms
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
    • Current BLS certification (required)
    • Demonstrated experience caring for geriatric patients or prior inpatient rehabilitation / swing bed experience
    • Proficiency with wound care
    • Ability to work independently in a low-resource staffing environment (no HUC, tech, or additional RN coverage when no tech is present)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Current ACLS certification
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a rural or critical access hospital setting
