Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Overtime may be available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry setting with continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment
- Float to Intermediate and General units within the same medical center as needed
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry data and changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC
- Adhere to weekend scheduling requirements, including approximately 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State license
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Must reside at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a float or multi-unit capacity within an acute care environment
- Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows
