    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to ED hold patients awaiting inpatient bed placement, with a primary focus on medical/telemetry patients at a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Read, interpret, and monitor cardiac telemetry strips independently — no monitor technician is available on unit
    • Titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders and established parameters
    • Assist with ED patient care tasks including vital signs, IV starts, and medication administration as needed (will not serve as primary RN for ED patient assignments)
    • Float to med/surg, telemetry, and overflow units at assigned campuses as needed
    • Participate in weekend rotation (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule) and holiday rotation with permanent staff
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in good standing
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (maximum of 2 attempts permitted)
    • Must pass a Simulation Lab assessment on day one of orientation
    • Strong cardiac telemetry background with the ability to titrate and adjust cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience strongly preferred
    • Prior experience managing titratable drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
    • Comfort working in a fast-paced ED hold or transitional care environment
