Contract | 17 Weeks | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, Sunday–Saturday) | 19:00–07:30
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Float to other units as needed to support staffing and patient care needs
- Provide weekend coverage as part of the standard schedule
- Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Complete required onboarding modules, including UC Learning Center and EpicU training, during orientation
Required Qualifications
- Active, valid California RN license — must be in hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
- ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of application
- BLS certification — must be in hand at time of application
- NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of application
- EPIC experience required — must be reflected in work history
- Two supervisor references required at time of application
- No RTO within the first two weeks of assignment; all RTO must be disclosed at time of submittal
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute (in hand preferred at time of application; MAB or Online CPI Blue certification not accepted)
- Experience working with diverse age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
