Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed Neuro/Ortho unit with a patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1
- Operate and manage equipment including Baxter IV pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps
- Document and manage patient records using Meditech EMR
- Manage chest tubes and monitor patients requiring non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips
- Manage weight-based heparin drips in accordance with unit protocols
- Apply general med/surg competencies while supporting a collaborative night shift team
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Telemetry nursing experience
- Familiarity with chest tube management and vasoactive/anticoagulant drip management
