    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to telemetry and medical/surgical patients, including ED patients awaiting inpatient bed placement
    • Read, interpret, and respond to cardiac monitor strips independently (no monitor tech on unit)
    • Titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders and established parameters
    • Assist with ED patient support tasks such as vital signs, IV starts, and medication administration as needed (not as primary RN for ED assignments)
    • Float to med/surg, telemetry, and overflow units at designated campuses as needed
    • Participate in weekend rotation (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule) and holiday rotation with permanent staff
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry experience (within the past 6 months)
    • Strong cardiac telemetry background with demonstrated ability to manage and titrate cardiac drips
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • Must pass a dysrhythmia exam (via Relias platform) within 48 hours of offer receipt; maximum of 2 attempts allowed
    • Must pass a Pass/Fail Simulation Lab on day one of orientation
    • Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience caring for ED hold patients awaiting inpatient placement
    • Familiarity with med/surg and telemetry overflow environments
    • Comfort working in a self-scheduling environment with flexibility for schedule adjustments
