Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:6
• Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units as needed; floating occurs in 4-hour blocks during shift
• Administer and document patient care using Epic EMR, which is required from day one
• Complete a day-one pass/fail competency assessment upon start
• Adhere to weekend scheduling requirements (day shift: Saturday and Sunday; night shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every other weekend)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
• Candidates with no prior travel nursing experience must have Level 1 Trauma experience to be considered
• Must have been separated from the hiring health system (permanent, per diem, or contract) for a minimum of 6 months prior to submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS certification
• Level 1 Trauma experience (preferred for all candidates; required if no prior travel experience)
