    Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Telemetry)

    Contract | Rotating shifts (combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts, days/evenings/nights) | Every other weekend and major winter holidays required | No call required | Expected 72 hours biweekly

    Key Responsibilities
    • Float across up to 15 medical-surgical units within a large inpatient facility, supporting specialties including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, GYN/GU, hips and joints, oncology, transplant (liver and kidney), and vascular
    • Perform unit-specific procedures including 12-lead EKGs, Lasix drips, blood transfusions, and telemetry monitoring
    • Administer nebulizer treatments; respiratory therapists manage ventilators
    • Maintain patient ratios averaging 4:1 on days and up to 6:1 on nights
    • Document and manage patient care using Epic electronic health records
    • Adapt to unit assignments which may be provided up to 2 hours before shift start
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
    • Minimum 3 years of related nursing experience required
    • Prior travel nursing experience required
    • CPR certification (AHA) required
    • ACLS certification (AHA) required
    • Level I trauma experience required
    • Epic EMR experience required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a teaching hospital setting
    • Specialty area expertise in one or more of the supported service lines (e.g., neurology, oncology, cardiac, transplant)
    • Comfort navigating web-based clinical applications
